Have you heard of meat-free-January? We have and we say YES! Not only because it´s awesome for the enviroment but because Prague´s places offer the best vegan food ever so we don´t feel sad or hungry without meat!
If you are vegan (or just cutting on animal products) visiting Prague, you will be very happy and full all the time. There are many totally dreamy places, cafés, restaurants and bistros that will fulfill your vegan dreams. Now let’s stop … and let’s start eating and drinking…
First Forky´s was found in Brno and it became a legend when it comes to veganism. Its second branch was opened on Veleslavínova 93/10 in Prague last year, yay! Not trying to be dramatic but YOU HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE and try local food. Forky´s serves everything from really healthy salads and bowls to vegan hamburgers for those fast food cravings. Both categories are on point. Yum yum yum. We love Green Bowl with tempeh, noodles and sauce or every burger in menu with fries. There are generous portions of phos, curries, meat-free balls and way more waiting for you so hurry…
Little cozy bistro in Žižkov (Biskupcova 40) will enchante you. Mercy´s owner does everything with big heart. They love animals, food and their job. That´s the combination we like a lot. Mercy makes vegan desserts for many Prague´s cafés – Yes Café, Kafemat, Coffee Room,… and provide catering services. Coffee usually comes from Berlin´s Five Elephant. Try local apple bundt cake or banana bread. Amazing and not bad for you at all.
Café Moment is a vegan bistro and café for everybody who love animals, fair products and delicious food. Situated on Slezská 62, it’s pretty close to Jiřího z Poděbrad Square. Their burgers are well known and well loved. They serve everything from breakfast (Vegan omelettes and pancakes? Yes, please) to dinner. We are not the biggest fans of their coffee, but food we adore. Let us know what about you!
BLUE VEGAN PIG SHOP
Now it´s getting not-so-healthy but boy-oh-boy-delicious. One Czech influencer opened a bistro specializing on making vegan doughnuts. If you have a sweet tooth, you will not be disappointed. Markéta and her boyfriend make all the flavours imaginable. Beside that you can find there amazing and interesting sweet and salty snacks – like vegan version of Hot Dog – carrot in a roll, or Panini sandwich with „salmon“ and nuts. You can find Blue Vegan Pig Shop on Voroněžská 564/19 in Vršovice.
Etnosvět on Legerova 1832/40 is… well, let´s have a look at some reviews:
– It was a great experience overall. I am really glad I came here. The interior is good. Starters and cocktail were quite good. Perfect taste and blend of everything. Then came our mains, which again was amazing. Good presentation and taste.
– Absolutely amazed by place. Everything was perfect starting with interior and finishing with food. Highly recommend to visit even if you are not vegetarian. Plus they have very good wine.
You need more? We don´t think so. Enjoy!
