Let us tell you a little story about one unique place in Prague…
Na Hollaru is a multifunctional space with a nice café in a courtyard of a Neo-Renaissance building located just opposite the National Theatre in Prague, on Smetanovo nábřeží (Smetana Embankment in English). The building is a residence of Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague, a gallery, and it is also a Cultural monument of the Czech republic. You can enter the building either from Smetanovo nábřeží (n.6) or Divadelní street (n.7).
In the courtyard of this special building, there is a multifunctional space created by students of the faculty. There is a nice cozy café which is also used for various cultural and social events, meetings, exhibitions, workshops, lectures etc.
The café is situated in the interiors of two unused garages and there is an outdoor seating area for chilling out and enjoying the time spent in this original place in the centre of Prague. The café serves very nice fair trade coffees, teas, smoothies and other drinks. If you feel like a snack or you are actually hungry, you can enjoy a filling hot soup, bread with various spreads, sandwiches, pastry, cakes and musli with yoghurt. The Na Hollaru café prefers local ingredients and smaller suppliers.
Na Hollaru takes bookings for events, it is children friendly and it serves take away coffees and food. You will find many students and other people here as the ambience of the place is very pleasant and nice music is always playing there. It’s simply a nice spot all year round! What si more, it is just a few steps away from our Charles bridge apartments!
