Half of January already passed by but in Czech Republic, winter still has its power. During your visit in Prague you may get tired of sightseeing and would prefer some brisker movement. Try ice-skating!
In the center of Prague, you can go skating on the popular Fruit Market (Ovocný trh). In addition you can enjoy a number of cultural events that take place there mostly at the weekends. Admission is free and it is possible to rent skates there.
An unusual experience would be skating on the roof of the shopping center Galerie Harfa. Admission is free and skates can be rented directly at the rink. For children there is also skating school with a professional trainer.
The sports complex Gutovka offers 400 m2 of ice rink where you can skate the classic way or try ice hockey, even in the evening, because the space has lights. Opening hours are generally from 10 am to 5.30 pm. Entrance admission is 60 CZK . Also at Gutovka you can rent skates.
