Epic Bars In Prague, Part 1: Drinks, Food And Music Included

What to do in the evening when in Prague? Go to some exceptional places. No need to do a complex research on this topic. Just scroll down and read about bars locals and tourists love.

Bullerbyn

Bullerbyn in Vinohrady is very popular among locals as well as tourists. It is opened from 13:00 to 01:00. Local signature cocktails are Mango Jumbo, Cherry Coke, Thai Basil Smash and there are many more. Each costs around 115 CZK. Big thumbs up for delicious menus that change every single day. Yesterday´s options were Hot dog with vegan sausage or potato croquettes with duck meat and cheese. Today you can choose Herb barley groat risotto with parmesan, dutch veal schnitzel with gouda and potato puree or potato spaetzle with bryndza. Who knows what “your Bullerbyn menu” will look like. One thing is sure – it´s going to be delicious. You will find Bullerbyn on Chodská Street.

Bar/ák

Bar/ák is a baby compared to other mentioned bars. It was opened at the beginning of June. But that´s not a bad thing – quite the opposite to be honest. It is not that well known so there is still a chance that it´s not going to be fully packed when you arrive. Bar/ák is situated near bus station Florenc and used to be very dirty, stinky and not impressive terrace. But those days are over. Now it´s a hip bar + café in one. Place to enjoy company of your friends, drinks and peace. In the evenings there is often nice programme – acoustic music, performances etc. Just have a look at their web and be sure to visit.

Bukowski

On Bořivojova Street in cool quarter of Žižkov, there is a famous bar called after a well-known writer Charles Bukowski. It´s decadent, fun and popular – just as Charles. It is a perfect spot to spend your Saturday evening. It is on a pricier side so don´t be surprised to pay quite a lot for drinks. But honestly, the special atmosphere makes up for it. It has a proper hallmark of originality. We recommend you to try Porn Star Martini. It is usually pretty packed so if you are capable come early – it opens at 19:00.

BER.LIN

BER.LIN bar next to I.P. Pavlova is our favourite summer bar mainly because of its perfect terrace. It was inspired by the owner´s favourite places to go in Berlin. They wanted to bring their magic to Prague. And it was a success. Who wouldn´t enjoy a glass of signature drink with mango and vodka while sitting under romantic lights? We definitely would (and do). Price of cocktails reaches from 140 to 210 CZK. BER.LIN serves you food as well – yummy avocado toasts, filling smoothies, salmon bowls, salads etc. There are also parties with DJs, live concerts, wine tastings, coffee workshops and more. During our visit, the only downside of this place was the service – local staff is sometimes slow and not the most polite. But not everytime – we just give you a heads up for potential situations.

Breakfast at BER.LIN

Now that we think about it we know we have to make article about bars no. 2. There are too many worth seeing that are not to be forgotten. So see you next time, dear readers. We will be back with another round very soon…
